CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR
MANAGING HEMOPHILIA

The Specialty Healthcare Benefits Council (SHBC) is pleased to offer as an enduring educational activity the slides and notes from our 2014 webcast series, “Challenges and Opportunities for Managing Hemophilia.” The content for 2014 builds on the posted content from the 2013 webcast series, which remains as an educational base. However, for the fifth year of this highly successful program we have made two notable changes in format and content:

  1. We have adopted a three-track format with each track highlighting a different discipline and presented by a specialist(s): hematology, HTC nurse coordinator and specialty pharmacy/home infusion, and managed care.
  2. We have increased the number of case studies presented and commented on by faculty in order to enhance participant learning.

As a result of our changes, there are two opportunities for a participant to learn from enriched content:

  1. Review the 2014 slides and notes for any or all three of the tracks and review the original CE post-test, to reinforce learning.
  2. Review the 2011 journal article and the 2013 slides and notes and review the original CE post-test to reinforce learning.
